Some ethical issues I will have to overcome stem from ensuring that my questionnaires are made to receive the most accurate information possible. In my project, I will be collecting data on people's personal experience with the nursing shortage. According to (Polger & Thomas, 2019), there are two ways this can be accomplished, the open-ended or the closed-response question. The open-ended question allows more information to be collected. However, it is less structured, it takes a greater amount of time, and collecting data from the submitted information can be difficult and tedious. Closed-response questionnaires are more structured, less time consuming, and data collected is ready to be used. The loss from this method is less in depth information from the respondents. To avoid ethical issues with the data, I should carefully analyze which method would be most beneficial for collecting accurate information. Social justice applies to this implementation because it ensures that the questionnaires are made equal, and meaningful data is collected from everyone in an efficient way.
