Some of the common MAC Group/ICS/EOC interface issues are:

• Poor communication and information management systems.
• Lack of SOPs
• Lack of training, qualified personnel
• Lack of experience in managing catastrophic incidents
• Lack of shared situational awareness

Here are two additional resources that may provide some detail: NIMS Coordination Review- This is from Idaho, and describes the MAC, the ICS, and the EOC coordination. ICS/EOC Interface Workshop - This is a long document, but you can use the table of contents and skim through for information that may be helpful. Unit 5 is where you will find information on ICS/EOC relationships. There are a few exercises throughout. Many are designed for groups during training, but is there anything you can use to help you understand the interface issues.
