Somebody Told Me, read the articles " The Valley of Broken Hearts," " New Development Stirs Old Case," and " French Quarter's Black Tapping Feet," by Rick Bragg. In the readings, the individuals all faced certain struggles in their lives. Come up with three categories that the struggles could fit into as a whole. For example, think about what common traits all three sets of struggles shared. Were they all unpreventable? Were they all three situations that made the person stronger overall? Were they all three struggles that would have made anyone else give up on life? These are examples of categories that all three sets of struggles can fit into. Don't think of one category per story. Think of a category that all the struggles can fit into. Then think of a second category that all three sets of struggles can fit into. Finally, come up with a third category that all three struggles shared in common.
