SPED ASSIGNMENT

Please interview an adolescent about body image. The individual can be the same one you interviewed for Assignment 5.1(Adolescent Friendship Interview).

Directions:

1. Select an adolescent between the ages of 13-17 years old. The adolescent maybe your child, a family member's child, or a friend's child (as appropriate). You must obtain permission from the parent(s) and the child to conduct the interview.
2. Ask the interviewee (the adolescent) the 5 questionslisted below (required).
3. Following the interview,writeat least a 2-3 pagepaper.Make sure to include anintroductionthat describes the participants and setting(family structure, ethnicity, age, grade level & gender of adolescent, family socioeconomic status, etc.)and aconclusionsummary of the body image interview and your thoughts regarding the observation.
4. At least two references must be included to tie the adolescent's responses to the research in the textbook.The references may be from our textbook or a peer-reviewed professional journal (not a book, web page, magazine, newspaper, etc.).You must paraphrase.Do not use direct quotes. The source for paraphrased material must be cited in the body of the paper using APA parenthetical citation.
