SPRING 20 21 IT304 Information System Analysis and Design IT304 The Company X is a Turkey based organization where they produce and manage the conferences. They believe that management of conferences has posed to be of great importance. Simply, a conference is a formal event that usually takes place over several days. Conferences gather people of common interests and are typically organized for business, academic or political purposes. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, company has decided that it is not safe to make conferences face to face anymore and they believe it will take some time before their sector goes back to normal. As a solution, they have decided to use technology and internet to continue their business procedures. Company X is in an urge to build a web-based conference management system (CMS), which aims to solve organization, management and communication problems which are usually associated with conference planning using web technology. The different actors can utilize the services on the platform at any time and from anywhere in the world as long as they have access to the Internet. Main aim for the company is to maintain and organize scientific conferences for the program chair, the conference organizers, authors and also for the reviewers in their respective activities. As a project team, you are expected to propose a system for the Company X to satisfy their needs and get them back on the track by providing web enabled conference management system. You will use system analysis and design procedures in four different phases to provide a new system for the company. PHASE1 -Planning (understanding why an information system should be built and determining how the project team will go about building it.) Prepare a report including the tasks given below. a.
