Stat 1400 - Project Part 1

In statistics, it is common to collect data, look at the data and perform some kind of analysis on it. That is what this project is all about. In part 1 of this project, we will gather data from bags of M&M's, look at the data - both our own individual data and the class data, and then look at some preliminary statistics. As we look at the data, you may form some observations. Does your bag of M&M's look like an expected bag according to M&M's?

Here is the expected distribution of M&M's.

• 20% Orange
• 16% Green
• 14% Yellow
• 13% Red
• 13% Brown
