Thomas Perlam works as a bouncer in a nightclub in Markham, Ontario. To supplement his income, he has been taking the habit to sell illegal drugs to some of the customers, while on duty. One night, during one of his regular shifts at the main floor, he slips a bag of illegal pills to a regular customer, who paid him $$300$ dollars. However, after taking the pills and because of the psychotropic effects of the drugs, the customer loses his balance, falls from the lounging areas of the upper floor, and hits his head. The resulting head

trauma causes him a permanent disability.

The customer sues the nightclub for the damages and for

the loss of future income since he can no longer work.

The customer also sues Mark Richards for breach of contract, claiming the drug he bought was not what he paid for.
