Statistical Process Control

i. Outline the objectives and benefits to be derived from SPC for your process/product

ii. Explicitly outline and describe what constitutes common and special cause variation

for a CTQ so stated.

iii. What criteria underpins the selection of criteria you will be seeking to control

iv. Generate hypothetical process data and create a control chart (attribute or variable)

for the CTQ under consideration. Compute from the data, all the required variables

(e.g. mean, median, range, standard deviation, control limits, etc.)

v. Provide a detailed analysis of the control chart you have produced.
