The dataset you'll be using is called "thunder.sav". You can find it in this week's module. This is the data from an experiment conducted on the Stealing Thunder effect. Participants were presented with either a passage describing a engaging in benign actions or a passage describing a politician engaging in corrupt actions, and then asked to evaluate the politician on a number of dependent variables. The independent variable is "Thunder" where 1 is the condition in which the politician's actions were benign and 2 is the condition in which the politician's actions were corrupt. Dependent variables include participant ratings of the politician on his honesty, credibility, sincerity, transparency, and trustworthiness, where a rating of 1 means not very much and a rating of 7 means very much. For instance, a rating of 6 transparency means the politician is seen as a very transparent individual, whereas a 2 in transparency means the politician is seen as a rather secretive/ambiguous person. An attitude measurement was also included which captured the degree to which they like the politician, where 1 indicates strong dislike and 7 indicates strong liking. 1. Run a one-tailed Spearman correlation between the variables "Honesty" and "Credibility". Report your findings in APA style. 2. Run an independent-samples t-test with Thunder as the independent variable and Attitude as the dependent variable. Report your findings in APA style. 3. Run a multiple regression analysis with Honesty, Transparency, and Credibility as the independent variables and Attitudes as the dependent variable. Report your findings in APA style
