Step $1$: Identify your target audience

$$ First you need to determine where you want to work. What kind of job do you want to have? Which industry do you want to work in$?$ Perhaps you have always wanted to work for a nonprofit, or in the healthcare industry.

$$ Next do a simple search of your desired role on any career job site. Read some of the descriptions for the positions you would like to hold. Determine the skill sets, experience and type of candidate that hiring managers are looking for.

$$ Identify common keywords from your career search and write them down.
