Your attorney advises you that the parties have agreed to go through voluntary mediation in an effort to settle the case. The mediation will not be binding, but the attorney wants to make a good faith effort to resolve the matter. You are asked to help the attorney prepare a mediation statement. The statement itself will have the following sections:

Statement of factual and legal issues

Legal arguments in favor of defendant, Douglass Financial, Inc.

The attorney will prepare the legal argument but asks you to draft a statement of key facts and a statement of factual and legal issues.

You are also asked to try to find a sample mediation statement or brief from your state.
