Step $1$: You will be given a local activist organization or group that is fighting for the rights of ONE of the following: Indigenous Peoples, Racialized People, $2$SLGBTQA$+$ People, or Disabled People.

Step $2$: Design a $6-7$ slide presentation that includes information from the topics below. The information included must be true, correct, and demonstrate what you learned from your research.

You are encouraged to add visual aids to your presentations $($charts$,$ graphs, maps or high$-$quality pictures$).$ Avoid having too much text on a slide. Instead, use short sentences that don$$t take too much time to read or write down.

Step $3$: Present it to the class. Each group will have $5$ minutes to present.

Remember, the worst thing you can do during a presentation is to read your script. You may use notes when you are presenting, but you shouldn$$t read a fully written text. Although it is a mini$-$presentation, make sure it has a proper opening, body and conclusion.

The questions to consider when crafting your presentation:

WHAT rights and freedoms are being fought for and WHO are they fighting for?

WHY is the work being done? WHY is it necessary?

HOW is the work being done? WHAT anti$-$oppression ACTION has been taken?
