Step $1$:

You will define a business problem based on the issues within CCC$.$ Start with what you know about the business. Create a minimum of three $(3)$ clarifying questions to understand the problem. Agree on the business problem for the project.

Step $2$:

You will complete a root cause analysis on the identified business problem. You can use either the fishbone diagram or the $5$ Whys as a technique for this step. A minimum of three factors $($fishbone diagram$)$ or three questions $(5$ Whys$)$ must be used. A copy of a fishbone diagram is attached to this assignment for reference.

Step $3$:

You will develop a hypothesis for the business problem. This will be the foundation of your metrics$/$analytics project. A hypothesis should always include the following criteria: Explain what you expect to happen, be clear and understandable, be testable and measurable, and contain an independent and dependent variable. Your hypothesis must use an $$if$/$then$$ statement.

Step $4$:

You will complete a project plan worksheet. Include information for each component based on your business problem and hypothesis statement. Include the tasks that will need to be completed and any resources you may need for each component. A template is attached as a guide. For this step, think about the tasks to do and the resources needed to accomplish the analytical project to solve the business problem.
