Step by step instructions to help you complete lab 1: 1. Establish what could only be interpreted as a "dark and stormy night"; describe with words how a dark and stormy night would be shown in a multimedia environment. 2. Begin with "text" and find keywords that cannot have any other meaning but "scary", "lonely" and so on. Then do the same with "sound". When you have used each medium separately, combine them and remove anything that might be "too much"! Think about communication issues associated with the following types of people: - people who are vision-impaired - people who have a hearing problem Using the matrix, you have created, combine the most appropriate media to get the message across in the most effective way. 3. "Why is time management so important for all University students, but particularly for those students studying multimedia units?" 4. In the first section you were required to "... combine all the media to design a piece of multimedia communication that is short, unambiguous and economical with words. Describe what you have decided on for each of the 4 settings."
