Steps in Creating a Commercial Website

This activity is important because marketers should understand the steps that go into developing and maintaining a commercial website.

Brenda is a marketing student, doing some part$-$time work on the side helping small businesses create and operate their websites. She is meeting with Kat, the owner of a Muddy$$s Coffee Shop near her university, to discuss a wide assortment of tasks that would need to be performed in order to create an effective website for the store. While there are many steps, Brenda explains that website design can basically be broken down into four phases: $(1)$ Planning, $(2)$ Design, $(3)$ Development, and $(4)$ Testing and Launch.
