Determine if there are written policies and procedures governing the selected law, statute, regulation or rule.

Determine if there have been any studies or research conducted regarding compliance of the law, statute, regulation or rule in the industry. If not, you should consider finding a different law, statute, regulation or rule. It is important that students conduct initial research to make sure they are picking compliance of a law, statute, regulation or rule that has been written about in the industry.

Once compliance has been measured, determine how you will improve compliance. If compliance is $100\%$ the students should pick up different law, statute, regulation or rule.
