store layout and design as well as the linked article on shopper psychology visit two local retailer and take notes about their design and layout. Share in the discussion this week the things you noticed. What was similar about their design? What was different? Additionally, share with the class what suggestions you would offer for improvement.
Example:
Two retailers that I will be comparing are Winco and FoodMaxx I go to these two stores often especially when shopping because I feel like they have the best deals. But what they both do have in common is that whatever is on sale they will make sure that you see it and or know. They will either put it in a location where as soon as you come in you know it's on sale or around the store it will have a sign with the price and big bold letters. The designs of the store are similar and also different these two store are really just about grocery shopping, but store layout wise Winco and FoodMaxx both have a layout where as soon as you enter you see snacks and it leads you to the produce section and other food isles. Some differences I noticed is that WinCo has two food vendors one at the front that serves pizzas and one at the back that sells fried chicken etc., and also has a fresh seafood vendor and a sushi vendor, as well as a bakery. While FoodMaxx only has a bakery, so with that I would suspect Winco to have more customers due to what their store has to offer to customers.
Now write you own two stores with a similar layout and design.
