Purpose

The purpose of this activity is to give you the opportunity to think of solving a business problem in your company using data analytics approach.

Instructions

In this assignment where you will explore an organizational problem of your interest, preferably related to your business. The overall goal is to develop a data driven action-orientated plan to solve this problem.

Key Tasks:

Define a predictive business problem where data can be an asset to solve it

Think about a relevant data set that fits the defined problem. If you already have the data, please explain it. If you don't, please think of sources from where you can obtain these data.

Think of the target variable(s) and potential predictors that might explain and predict this target variable

Mention any challenges you may face to obtain the data

Based on what was covered in the course, what techniques do you think would be a good fit to build your predictive model? Discuss briefly

To what extent is the implementation of the model feasible in your company? (In terms of top management culture and perspectives, technical capacity and resources, etc.)

Mention any limitations of your proposed plan, and speculate an optimal solution.
