Students should form groups of 3-4 and as a group research and design an appropriate plan for the following scenario. Scenario: Small Doctor's Office Location is in a strip mall and includes waiting room, reception area, Doctor's office and 2 visitation rooms. All staff areas and visitation rooms have computers. Reception and Doctor's office have printers. Server is located under reception desk, as is the router, switch, and connection to ISP. Reception computer is shared between receptionist and nurse. Accounting and scheduling are handled through pre-packaged 3rd party software using browser-based access to an IIS/SQL server backend. Government medical records are stored and updated at the end of the day on a remote database accessed separately through a secure browser-based application. Records are also maintained both paper and electronically locally.
