Students will be given a tool application project to map and characterize an actual business process. Students may work in teams of three to five to conduct the project. Students will be required to submit a completed value stream map and details of their identified process (via upload to the LMS) along with giving a brief presentation (no more than 15 minutes) to the class. The upload should be formatted as a PDF file. Each portion of the map should be legible, regardless of how it is produced and captured. The mapping typically takes six to eight hours of independent team time to interview and map a suitable business process. More details will be given during Session 2 when the project is introduced, including pictures of prior students' maps. The team project report, delivered by the whole team, will be due during the last live session (Live Session 5)
