Students will develop an A3 poster for a healthcare issue of their choosing. Students will provide background information on the organization, department, or division where the process resides. This will include an organizational overview, population served, location, number of employees, goals and objectives, general statistics, and anything else students deems important to paint a thorough picture and the issue for resolution.

Following the organizational background information, Students will develop an A3 to address the specific process or issue to include:

• Problem Statement
• Background/ Current Conditions
• SMART Goals/ Targets
• Scope (In Scope/ Out Scope)
• Analysis/ Root Cause
• Countermeasures to Root Cause
• Study (Planned vs. Actual Results)
• Financial Impact

Any data shared that students for the sake of the project should be HIPAA/IRB compliant. Alternatively, publicly available data from the organization, CMS, or synthetic data that is similar to the real-world, may be used for the project
