Part $1$: Conduct the $5$S

Choose a small area, collection of items, room, process, etc. in your home that you can perform a $5$S makeover on$.$

Work through each of the $5$S steps on the thing that you have chosen: sort it$,$ set it in order, shine it$,$ standardize it$,$ and then plan to sustain it$.$

Part $2$: Reflecting on Your Changes

The purpose of a $5$S review in a manufacturing environment is to eliminate waste at each workstation. Essentially, making the process more lean. After your $5$S makeover, utilize the item$/$room$/$process that you have modified for a few days, and then reflect on how the changes have affected your use of it$.$

Create a $1-2$ page, double spaced, PDF reflection about your $5$S makeover. Ensure that you include each of the following:

A brief description of the items$/$room$/$process that you reviewed

What was not working about the items$/$room$/$process before.

What actions you took to conduct each stage of the makeover.

How this makeover has$/$has not improved the item$/$room$/$process$.$
