Study the given network on page 2 and make sure you understand how it operates. This Lab is a mixture of sub-netting, routing and bridging. Some servers have dual interfaces to connect to two networks simultaneously.
Complete the Lab Using CISCO Packet Tracer. You will need switches, bridges and routers. Pay particular attention to Ethernet 3 and Ethernet 4 which interconnect via a bridge (B1). Design and show all IP assignments for hosts and interfaces, all gateways, and all subnet masks. Do not forget to configure the routing protocol used.
NB/Correction: All references to /16 in Router 1 and Router 2 Tables in page 2 should read /18.
Test your design by sending packets to all possible locations, then submit via the Blackboard submission link of the screen capture copies of the following:
1) A well labeled network diagram indicating all IP allocations for all network devices and hosts (IP address, Subnet mask, and Gateway in each case); - hover over each device to view & screen-capture its configurations.
2) Use Command line Interface to configure the networks as demoed in the class activity
3) Screen captures of connectivity tests (ping results);
4) All results of 1,2, and 3 above should be pasted into word document.
5) Ensure your name appears in all designs diagrams as well as on ping cmd shells.Router R1's Forwarding Table
