SUBJECT: Multi-Cycle Datapath BEQ

PROBLEM: There are 3 parts to this problem.

(1) Write an instruction in MIPS assembly language for instruction type, BEQ.

(2) Translate the BEQ instruction to MIPS machine language.

(3) Explain how the BEQ instruction will pass through the multi-cycle datapath: a) Explain which bits of the instruction are used at each point and what hardware component is being used. b) For EACH step, detail all control signals used and what value each is set to, along with an EXPLANATION of how each of the settings affects the path taken or data used.
