Maisarah and her team members would like to investigate the contributing factors towards academic performance among students in the Faculty of Business and Management at OneCity College. A total of 300 students has been identified as respondents of this study based on the population frame obtained from the Head of Department of the Faculty. The first phase of their group research was related to literature review from various sources. Initially, it has been found that many researchers indicated that the online learning approach used by lecturers is supposed to be one of the important variables that influence academic performance at university (Raja, Shaw, Jackson \& Rennie, 2022). This is supported by a study of Sandra (2021) who claimed that the concept of online learning has witnessed an increase in the higher education sectors, where enrolment rates in online courses have significantly expanded in recent years. However, in another study, Taufiq (2019) emphasized that the instructional designers to be aware of the important of learning strategies which equally plays an important role which is associated with students' academic performance. In a similar note, Raziah \& Ebrahim (2022) highlighted that students must be made known about various learning strategies which are being practiced among lecturers at higher learning institutions. Accordingly, students felt satisfied with their online learning and their academic performance was correlated with their usage of the online learning strategies content materials (Wang \& Chandran, 2020). A study conducted by Kishan \& Riana (2022) among senior students in a private institution determined that motivation for learning exerted a direct, positive effect on students' academic performance. This is enhanced by Murni (2021), identified that students with higher level of motivation were proven to score highly in their academic performance. Maisrah and group members believe that factors covered in the literature reviews are related to their research title. 5 b) Write TWO (2) research objectives and TWO (2) research questions of the above study.
