Submit your Chapter 4 reading journal here. There are four requirements for the reading journal. Each week the requirements will stay the same, although the chapter will change.

1) Summarize the chapter in your own words. Include your reaction, thoughts, what you learned, or anything else that will help you remember the content. Include the word count at the end of this summary. The word count should be between 100 and 150 words.

2) Define at least one new term or concept by quoting or paraphrasing the original author. These should be terms that pertain to the chapter lessons.

3) Explain how this reading connects to other chapters, other classes you are taking, or your personal life. Give specific details.

4) Imagine you are creating a discussion board question for this week. Based on this week's chapter, ask an open-ended so that the person answering would have to write a critical response instead of just saying yes or no. For example, instead of saying, "Did you know that writing essays is hard?" you could ask, "What is the hardest part of writing essays for you personally?" or "What's one thing that you learned this week?"
