Summarize this email, answer if My current exam 3
Hi everyone, | would like to thank you for the outstanding semester! You have been my most engaged ENSC 324 class so far and | look forward to reading the feedback you have for me. By now, you have seen that the grades for Exam 3 have been posted. A number of people have brought it to my attention that there was not enough time to complete the exam questions. Although it doesn't help you right now, this will impact how | prepare my exams in the future. | have to say that | feel quite bad about the exam and the comment | made before it: By now you must be wondering \"How evil is he really?\" | want to assure everyone that, even though the exam was brutal, and both the Exam 3 grades and the final grades are lower than anticipated, you should not expect to receive a lower letter grade than you would have for an easier exam with a higher average. For cases when the average final grade is considerably lower than what is considered reasonable, | make manual adjustments to the correlation between grade percentages and letter grades, i.e., curving. Beyond this, several students have expressed concern about the rubric that was used to grade Exam 3 and, in particular, whether sufficient weight was placed on the procedure used to solve each question relative to the final answers. I'm open to addressing this concern. | will personally re-grade each exam and ensure that reasonable part-marks are awarded for correctly identifying equations and parameters, for demonstrating clear understanding of concepts relevant to the question, and for successfully completing key steps towards solving the question. Although your Exam 3 grade could go up through this process, there is a strong chance that your final letter grade will be very similar to what | planned to assign you already. This is simply due the curving that was applied. | will not reduce your Exam 3 grade or letter grade through this process. This will take some time, and you will need to wait a bit longer before your final letter grades are posted. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or concerns, or if you would like to view your exam or the solution. Best wishes, Shawn Replies to this email will be posted as a reply to the announcement, which will be seen by everyone in the course
