Suppose that you work as a project manager for a telecommunications company that has been recently approached by another business which required the expansion of its ICT infrastructure. One of the first actions you take is to review your own organisation's policies, values and processes so these can reflect on the project that will be managed by you. Some of organisation's information you find are: a) A Business Continuity policy created to ensure the network availability by providing guidelines about the restoration of stored information in the event of a disaster, equipment failure, and/or accidental loss of files. b) A Remote Access policy that defines an organisation's information security principles and requirements for connecting to its network from external locations. c) A company value and statement defined as "Teamwork - We achieve more when we collaborate and all work together". d) A company value and statement defined as "Personal Accountability - We are personally accountable for delivering on our commitments". e) A process that establishes benchmarks for quality assurance of ICT equipment installation and performance. f) A process related to risk management which provides procedures to be followed by project team members when a hazard is identified in the workplace.
