Suppose there is a system consisting of humidity sensor, ADC, DAC and an Air Conditioning (AC) system. The humidity sensor gives output as voltage value. As the humidity decreases below 30% it produces the voltage of 4.57 V. That voltage is then put through a 3-bit Flash ADC as input (where reference voltage is 8 V and Ra= "Group#" Kn).
