Exercise $4-2$

As Chapter $4$ in your textbook points out, there are many libraries across Canada. This exercise gives you the opportunity to become familiar with the different types of libraries in your area and the rest of Canada.

A$.$ Connect to the Canadian Library Gateway website, and access the List Libraries by location tab.

B$.$ Select your province of residence from the list of provinces.

C$.$ Review the drop$-$down menu of libraries and access the websites of three types of libraries you are not familiar with. Choosing from:

$$ University library

$$ Public library

$$ School library

$$ Government library

$$ Special library

Note: If you live in a province that has hundreds of libraries listed, you may select three letters of the alphabet from the list and review libraries that begin with those letters.

D$.$ Browse the websites and share information about your newly discovered libraries with your class.
