Survey Data Collection Section

Purpose: There is no one best method of survey data collection. The selection of method depends on the advantages and disadvantages of each method. This section of the paper will ask you to identify the survey mode and methods used, discuss how it was used for the client and provide a justification that it was an appropriate approach.

Assignment: To prepare for the development of a justification for the data collection method, identify as many advantages and disadvantages as you can for each of the following data collection modes (Person- administered, Computer-administered , and Self-administered ). In addition, identify as many advantages and disadvantages as you can for each of the following methods (telephone method , fully automated and online surveys , drop-off method).
