Sustainability is an important consideration in projects implemented in developing countries. Often projects in developing countries will be initiated after initial funding from a donor funder, however it is important that a project continues even after the initial donor funding ends. OpenMRS Community is an important part of the sustainability approach of the OpenMRS project from an organizational and environment perspective, while from a technology perspective the OpenMRS data model features prominently. Please discuss these two aspects of OpenMRS in relation to the sustainability of the OpenMRS project.
