Tableau Based HW Instructions $[25$ points$]$

In the last tableau assignment, financial data for Apple was provided for analysis. For this tableau assignment, financial data for Target has been provided. This assignment is similar to the previous assignment.

I. In this assignment, you will demonstrate the following skills $($prior to starting the assignment, please watch$/$review$/$practice all tableau training videos. The tableau training videos go over all the steps required for this assignment$)$:

A$.$ Construct four research questions that you would like to answer using visualizations. State your research question in the title of each view. One question is one view, thus in total you will have four views as follows $($Be creative and experiment with the graphs, colors, tool tip etc. as seen in the training videos$)$

a$.1^{st}$ view $=$A view$/$visualization$/$chart of your choice. It should answer the research question you ask your data. $[4$ points$].$ For example: How was revenue for Apple in the last ten years?

b$.$ Reminder: Do name the sheets appropriately, as per the analysis done $($this is similar to naming sheets in Excel$)[4$ points$]$

c$.2^{nd}$ view $=$ Generate a linear trend line and research and interpret the equation, in few words using caption. The interpretation must explain the equation itself $($Reminder: The trend line must use two quantitative$/$numeric variables and year should be excluded$)[4$ points$]$

d$.3^{rd}$ view $=$ Build a forecast over the next five years using a $95\%$ prediction interval using caption, in few sentences explain why this prediction is likely or unlikely to happen. $($Hint: You may customize the forecast by right clicking in the view, selecting forecast options. Next, under forecast length, select exactly $5$ years. Scroll down and select $95\%$ prediction interval. Leave all other options as default$).[4$ points$]$

Reminder Notes:

i$.$ In order to build a forecast, you will need a date field and a measure.

ii$.$ To generate the forecast, click on the analytics tab on the left side and drag and drop forecast to the right view.

iii. To customize the forecast, right click in the view, select forecast and then forecast options. The forecast length can be set here.

iv$.$ To learn more about the forecast, you can right click on the view, select forecast and then choose describe forecast.

v$.$ In order to be able to generate a forecast, you will need at least one date or a dimension with integer values, one measure.

e$.4^{th}$ view $=$ Create a cluster with at least $3$ different variables. Using caption, in few words explain why these variables were chosen: $[4$ points$]$

Reminder Notes:

i$.$ Cluster analysis is a method of grouping a set of objects in such a way that objects in the same group $($called a cluster$)$ are more similar $($in some sense or another$)$ to each other than to those in other groups $($clusters$).$

ii$.$ Clustering slices your data and is a way of grouping data using multiple variables.
