Task 1: Establish the Context and Identify Risks Assessment Instructions This task will require you to identify relevant work health and safety (WHS) requirements required to ensure a safe workplace in your work area. You will use these requirements to develop a WHS management plan for your work area in Simulated Workplace Project Task 2. Work area refers to a specific site within an organisation/workplace that is distinguished by the nature and type of work being undertaken. This includes WHS requirements from the following sources: Organisational policies and procedures Organisational WHS training programs WHS laws applicable to your state/territory, which must include: o Legislation o Regulation o Codes of practice applicable to your specific work area Use the WHS Requirements template provided on Appendix section at the end of this assessment workbook.
