Task 1 - Maintenance \& Simulation A leading private hospital located in a rural area in Oman has a 1500 KVA Generator Set which is mainly used as a power backup for the hospital. Non-availability of the generator can lead to interruption in the hospital activities including surgeries. The maintenance department of the company is considering taking preventive measures to ensure maximum possible uptime of the generator by analyzing the historical data of breakdowns of the generator which was taken from the hospital's civil \& maintenance department. Table T1 shows the frequency of breakdown of the generator set over the past year, which is taken from the hospital's civil \& maintenance department.
