This event helped promote the departments future vision for technology, and position its staff as thought leaders in the field. Owing to its success, the department has been offered the opportunity to host a similar event in 2023. This briefing recommends that the head of the department approve for the department to host its second Showcase in 2023, funded by the Public Sector Network Key information In 2022, the Public Sector Network invited the department to host the inaugural Showcase. Despite the event being held on the last day of Term 3, and the day after, an unexpected public holiday, more than 500 guests attended to listen to 28 speakers and network with 79 industry partners. The event recieved favourable feedback, with many guests noting that their attendance was worthwhile. It is recommended that the department accept the offer to host its second Showcase in 2023, covering content for leaders and technologists at Disneyland. Proposed dates are in Term 3 Week 7 (Friday 1 September) or Term 3 Week 8 (Friday 8 September). Financial implications Nil implication..
