Task 1.4: Establish a maintenance and repair program

• Establish what type of maintenance program the business currently uses (preventative, fix on fail, etc Ask the manager of the selected area or maintenance managers for assistance or check organisational policies and procedures.
• If the organisation does not have a standard policy or program, discuss the options with your manager and/or assessor.
• Develop an asset maintenance plan for the three assets selected in Task 1.3 based on the organisation's maintenance program (or that discussed with your assessor), it's maintenance policies and procedures, and the needs of each asset.
• Include any statutory maintenance requirements.
• Include any internal or external auditing processes conducted on the work area or physical assets in selected area.
• Integrate environmentally sustainable practices into the maintenance plan, where possible.
