Technology exists in every part of modern life and IT companies and their employees must consider their activities and the impact they have on the world. Ethical considerations may vary between business sectors and nationalities but could include privacy, sustainability, impact on young people and many more. You will need to consider the website you developed for the Web Design module. Evaluate the ethics that you would have to consider in the development of your website, both in its development and its future as part of the Internet. Reflect on how these ethical considerations will influence you in your chosen future career path and what you will personally need to learn or develop to ensure your work will be ethical.

Consistent layout, use of appropriate technical/formal language needs to be applied throughout your work. Any diagrams, references, code listings, and headings are not included in the word limit. Identify the word count on the cover page of the document.

Guidance notes on writing Each task must be grammatically correct, free of typos and spelling errors, and properly punctuated. Referencing must be accurate, and a full bibliography provided. Writing style must be clear and concise and meet higher education standards for academic prose. We advise that you refrain from verbose (wordy) language and meaningless expressions whose only contribution is to add to the word count and not the overall value of your work. Grading will reflect writing style as well as content. Given that the course is partly a preparation for the working world, where concision in communication, accuracy in writing, and regulation of detail is key, it is imperative that you fully understand how to approach an assignment/task and that you stringently adhere to the specified word counts providedfailure to do so will result in mark deductions.
