For this task you are asked to develop strategies for leading others in change activities within a New Zealand business.
The business concerned is a medium sized New Zealand business providing packaging products to local retailers such as boxes, plastic wrap and cardboard display units.
The business has just been purchased by a local iwi who are looking to rebrand it and make it sell only locally sourced sustainable products.
The business has a general manager, accountant, operations manager, production team of fifteen a sales team of four two administrators and a shop team of three
In the takeover all existing staff will be retained in similar roles and additional iwi advisors will join the team.
As the operations manager you are tasked with leading and preparing the staff for the change.
The change process will include:
Gaining an awareness of what the local iwi is wanting to do
Sourcing a new product range to replace the plastic wrap.
Making all staff aware of the takeover, rebranding and core business the iwi wish to embed.
Create a powhiri for the new owners.
To do that you will need to complete the following activities.
a Develop four strategies for implementing the change and key components of the change process
One strategy is required for each change process
All strategies must have a goal, timeframes and the roles allocated to key components.
Note: As the operations manager you must also be involved and be leading the change.

b Assess the best model for change management to employ to implement your strategies and justify why you have chosen this model.
You model must be compared to another change management model and clearly show the advantages for being chosen.
Three different advantages are to be provided.
