Below are several case assignments, which are issues that may arise during the work with IT operations in Government. These will be problems that an IT consultant for IT operations must keep in mind and ensure that they are solved in a good and efficient way, while at the same time the needs of the organization are taken care of$.$ In solving the task, all IT operational considerations, such as system landscape, choice of solutions, IT security, etc. must be considered. The questions must be answered to the best of your ability. It is up to you how you wish to present the assignment $($presentation$,$ a written answer or answer only orally$).$ A long thesis is not necessary. It is good enough that there is a precise answer for understanding the problem, the procedure for how the problem will be solved, and what you see as positive and negative results of the choices that are made.

Part $1$:

In a meeting, employees from several sections argue that they think Sharepoint and collaboration spaces $($sub sites$)$ in Sharepoint are impossible to use. They have to save the documents twice, by first working with the documents in Teams$/$SharePoint$,$ then uploading them in collaboration spaces, and then uploading these to the archive solution Forest $360$ afterwards. In addition, there are major challenges with external parties not being able to log in to Government's SharePoint solution and collaboration space.

It is therefore most practical and time$-$saving to purchase a new solution that replaces Sharepoint and thus makes it easier for external parties to access the documents. Several of the employees have searched the internet and found several solutions that enable the sharing of documents. Google drive can also be a current solution.

$2.$ What are the advantages and disadvantages of using the current solution as opposed to using the solutions being proposed?

Part $2$:

Government is starting a preliminary project to look at whether they should keep the current archive solution or replace the current archive solution Forest $360.$ As an IT operations resource, you are part of the project group that will come up with the recommendation. The other resources in the project represent archival expertise and users from the various departments.

$2.$ How would you, as an IT operations person, go about looking after the technical aspects associated with an archive solution?

$3.$ How will you ensure that it is the best choice for Government to choose to replace or retain the current archive solution?
