Task Choose a company from the list provided by your course lecturer below. Research about the management of your chosen organisation and detail the strategies that they advocated to help grow the company. Examine the critical issues that the organization faced, and detail the strategies employed to mitigate them. Given the fact that all top managers are not always successful, if the company you choose employed strategies that failed, detail the failure, and add analysis as to why it failed and what may have been done to foster success. You will need to utilize resources available through the library and other sources (including the internet) to obtain information to support this report. You should discuss and identify as many management concepts as possible. A minimum of 4 concepts is required.

You will present your findings in the form of a written report. You must address the following questions in your report:

Who is/are the Top Leader(s) of the company, and under what circumstances did they become leader?

What issues did they face?

What are the major strengths of the company?

In what ways did Planning, Organizing, Leading & Controlling contribute to the companys success (or failure)?

What was the most important thing leading to that success (or failure)?

What do you see as major challenges facing this company in the next five years?

What are your conclusions about the management based on your research?

You will also present your report to the class by way of an oral presentation. This presentation will be a summation of your report as well as your specific, critically thought out conclusions.
