Q$1.$ Determine if the design of the wall is satisfactory with respect to the overturning, bearing resistance and sliding limit states, to Eurocode$7.[$Mark$=5$ point$]$ The concrete has a unit weight ${}_c=24k\frac{N}{m^3}.$ The friction angle between the wall and the backfill is ${}_1=2{}^{\text{'}}\frac{b}{3},$ and the friction angle between the wall and the foundation soil is ${}_2=2\frac{{}_f^{\text{'}}}{3}.$ The groundwater table is well below the foundation.
