Task Description:

This task requires you to write report on the challenges of the digital economy for an organisation's executive group. The report will identify and address the potential challenges for the organisation in terms such as trade, workforce, technological capability, customers and other stakeholders. Students will use a range of literature to identify the challenges and make recommendations for addressing them in the context of the organisation. The report should be formatted in a business style and be prefaced by an Executive Summary. At least 5 references should be used from business and/or academic sources and the report should be properly referenced.

The Organisation:

You may choose an existing organisation or create one of your own. The key point here is that your report has some relevance to the industry context (industry sector/potential breadth of export market/customer type/relevant stakeholders etc). It should address organisational and workforce levels of challenge.

The Report:

The report should consist of an Executive summary, a brief description of the company, and an introduction. This should be followed by the identification of the potential challenges and why they are perceived to be issues for the organisation. The final section will make some recommendations on the key issues and how to address them.
