The difference in the fear of having a surgical operation between men (M=2.67, SD = 1.81) and women (M = 3.29, SD = 1.90) was found to be statistically significant, t (269) = -2.68, p < .01, 95% CI [ - 1.07, -0.17]. I would like to double check because all the examples my professor gave did not have negatives and it was always p < .001. I just want to make sure you can have neg and <.01.
