However, disadvantages include limiting creativity and innovation, resistance to change, and the potential for abuse of power within the hierarchical structure. Alternative models like Community$-$Oriented Policing $($COP$)$ and the Flat Organization offer different approaches, emphasizing community collaboration and empowerment of lower$-$level employees for enhanced creativity and decision$-$making at the frontline. Choosing the right organizational model for a law enforcement agency should consider its specific needs and context, aiming to strike a balance between effective decision$-$making, employee empowerment, and maintaining clear lines of authority and accountability.
