The choice between inductive and deductive thematic analysis depends on the research objectives, the available theoretical frameworks, and the nature of the research questions being investigated. Thematic analysis is a widely employed data analysis strategy that is commonly utilized in various qualitative research designs, including the case study design (Castleberry & Nolen, 2018, p. 808). An inductive thematic analysis would be the most appropriate form of data analysis for this study to identify patterns, themes, and relationships that emerge directly from the data (Kratt, 2018, p. 27). If the researcher utilizes a theoretical framework, deductive thematic analysis would be effective. Furthermore, there are instances when both inductive and deductive analysis can be used in a research study. The preferred sequence for analyzing each data set is cyclical and consists of compiling, disassembling, reassembling, interpreting, and concluding (Castleberry & Nolen, 2018, p. 808).
