The client is a large utility that manages R 1 billion of assets. You were briefed to design and implement a business process management system to improve the efficiencies across the organisation. The organisation had initiated a number of process improvements, but with no consistent method to prioritise opportunities and build a business case for process efficiency and optimisation. Potential process risks, weaknesses and process costs are hard to identify. There is also no system of assessing the priority of various processes against agreed criteria for projects.
