The daily(18 days)/weekly (9weeks) journal should be a reflection on the work experience and what is learned/felt in the process; it should not just be a list of the tasks you completed during the day.

My journal entries: I worked at the hotel industry and I have created and sent invoices, received checks and apply to accounts, work with Accounts Receivable aging department to see which invoices to send. Cash counts, safe counts, daily bookkeeping and cash reconciliation. Did bank deposits. Go through financials daily to look for anomalies. Look at budgets and forecasts. Choose where to spend and save money.

Administering check-ins and check-outs, including processing payments and issuing keys.

Managing reservations and updating booking systems.

Assisting with room assignments and special requests.

Delivering mail and messages.

Coordinating with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure guest needs are met.

Working effectively as part of a team.

Assist guests with check-in & check-out processes, provide guests with hotel services information, and accommodate guests during their stay in an attentive, courteous and friendly manner.
