The different ways I would reduce these violations would be to not talk about anyone's PHI in public, leave important paperwork out to that everyone can see, and lock my computer always. It was so many violations in this video that the actors had to laugh lol. Yes, I have overheard a staff member talking about a patient and I kept listening until my name was called lol. I was like wow I know that they know I can hear them and they weren't using their inside voices either. The one scene that I would have corrected would be when the doctor left his computer unlocked. If it was me in this situation I would have locked my computer so that she wouldn't have access to anyone's PHI or try to find a way to hack the system.
