The final project for this course is creating a case study analysis from a human behavior perspective.
Review all project requirements in the Final Project Guidelines and Rubric. The final project contains three milestones, most of which will become part of the final project that you submit in Module Nine.
By analyzing and applying human behavior theories and concepts, you will develop critical thinking skills and the ability to accurately diagnose root causes of organizational issues. You will be able to recommend solutions that employ change management best practices.
For your final project, you analyze the case study titled Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant: Motivating in Good Times and Bad, a fictional manufacturing plant that has struggled internally from low productivity and morale. This case is contained in your course textbook. The case study presents a list of known organizational issues. You will apply knowledge of human behavior theories and concepts to correctly identify and analyze the multiple root causes of the organizational issues from a human behavior perspective. You will apply human behavior theories and concepts acquired through research and readings.
You will transition from the textbook case study to a workplace analysis of an organization you select from your past or present. This workplace analysis is completed using the same issue identification, root cause analysis, and solution creation methodologies from a human behavior perspective.
This third milestone centers around your past workplace experiences or workplace experiences now. You have applied human behavior theories and concepts to the known issues described in your textbook case study through reading and research. This milestone involves nearly everything you accomplished in Milestones One and Two. Now, you apply it in a real-world context. Apply the issue identification, root cause analysis, solution creation, and strategic action methodologies from a human behavior perspective. You will begin by describing your workplace, showing the organizations impact alignments in terms of human behavior theories.
